Autism Acceptance Month (Was Jane Eyre Autistic?)

Owner of Vampyre Cosmetics LLC, Rachel Clinesmith is diagnosed Autistic, and grew up reading books such as “Jane Eyre,” by Charlotte Brontë, and “Pride & Prejudice” by Jane Austen. Many literature-lovers in the modern day have pointed out that the main characters of these classic stories display many traits of Autism. These were considered irreverent works for their time, and the social mores of the day forced the Brontë sisters to publish under a male pen name to bypass the sexism in the publishing industry. For centuries now these characters have brought solace to young girls who have felt out of place in society, and many of these readers have been diagnosed Autistic later later in life.

Rachel designed a patent-pending book palette design with 30 shadows that opens like a real book and contains 3 pages for compact-carry and to enhance the tactile resemblance to literary works. Lovers of classic literature have sold out these palettes at every launch so far. For Autism Acceptance month in April 2022, the brand is donating 20% of profits to the Autistic Women & Non-binary Network, with 5% being allocated specificallu to the Autistic People of Color fund.
